Co-Designing Hope

The Rohingya are one of the most persecuted yet simultaneously invisible communities across the globe, with millions of them living across South and Southeast Asia as stateless refugees with little agency over the way their lives are represented and remembered.

Our storytelling fellowship for and with Rohingya youth directly tackles this politics of erasure by putting the narrative power in the hands of those most impacted by it. It creates a platform wherein Rohingya youth-fellows can work through their traumatic experiences, articulate their injustices, and narrate their lives as thinkers, caregivers, leaders–not merely as victims of genocide and statelessness.
